More trouble for Mayawati, CBI probe on BSP minister ordered

Mayawati
Lucknow, Feb 22: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati may face a devastating result after the ongoing assembly election which is being held in Uttar Pradesh. Corruption charges one after other have been hurled against Mayawati and her men and this time the Lokayukta (Ombudsman) added one more name to the list.

The ombudsman, Justice N K Mehrotra recommended an investigation by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on BSP minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui who has been accused of setting up an educational building on a land which was sold in a much lower price than the market price.

According to sources, the actual price of the land in Barabanki in eastern UP is Rs 16 crore, but the BSP minister bought the land for just Rs 35 lakh.

Over 20 of Mayawati's ministers were sacked over corruption allegations in the recent past.
