In the meeting, Italy said that it was a mistake by India that they arrested the guards. While, India reacted on Italian officials' comment and said that the country will go by the laws.

According to the Italian officials, action should be taken by Italy India's action is "unilateral and coercive." But India claimed that the incident took place within its water so action should be taken by India.
