China shocker: Dead woman married twice

Beijing, Feb 22: In a bizarre incident, a woman's corpse was married twice in Beijing, China, reports The Global Times.

According to the report, a family surnamed Wu sold their daughter's dead body for 35,000 yuan ($5,557) to a man surnamed Liu who wanted to perform a "yin marriage", a marriage that takes place between two dead bodies.

The marriage took place between the dead bodies of the Wu's daughter and Liu's younger brother at a spring festival in Beijing. Soon after the marriage the dead couple was buried in a single tomb.

Report further claim that the tomb where the two lovebirds were buried was destroyed and Wu's dead body was missing. After knowing the incident, Liu immediately reported the incident to police.

Later, the investigators arrested five men for stealing the body of the girl to marry her off again for a sum of 30,000 yuan to another family surnamed Li as the family had been in searched of a female corpse. Meanwhile, police is investigating the case for further result.
