UP Polls:Civil aviation min's son caught accepting money

Mathura, Feb 20: Rashtriya Lok Dal MP, Jayant Chaudhary was booked by the EC for violating the poll code after he was caught taking close to Rs 2 lakh from a local RLD leader in the ongoing UP assembly election rally.

Jayant Chaudhary is the son of Civil aviation Minister, Ajith Singh.

After taking the money, Chaudhary passed the cash to the RLD party candidate, who returned back the money to him. Chaudhary then gave the money to his brother-in-law, said a report on NDTV.

Meanwhile, a showcause notice was slapped by the Election Commission on the RLD MP, which sought an explanation from him over the matter.

The constituencies that come under Mathura will go to vote on Feb 28.
