Padmanabhaswamy treasure trove evaluation begins today

Kerala, Feb 20: The evaluation of treasures of one of the richest temples in the world, Sri Padmanabhaswamy will begin on Monday by the Supreme Court appointed four-member committee.

The evaluation of the treasure trove of one of the six cellars will be carried out amidst high security, headed by Velayudhan Nair. Machines from Keltron and ISRO have been brought in to speed up the evaluation process.

Strict dress code will also be followed during the evaluation process and the auditors will be given dress inside the temple.

Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple located in Thiruvananthapuram grabbed the headlines after it came to light that the temple had treasure trove worth $60 billion in its secret chambers.

The temple has six vaults, of which five have been opened so far.
