Mamata to meet PM to demand financial package for WB

Sources said that the Trinamool Congress supremo may also discuss the National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC) issue with Manmohan Singh.
This meeting comes two-days after Mamata opposed the anti-terror body under Intelligent Bureau (IB) claiming that it would undermine the federal structure.
Earlier, expressing displeasure over NCTC project, the TMC chief had even skipped the inauguration programme of the NSG hub in Kolkata by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram.
Meanwhile, the NCTC project will come into effect from first of March. But as the UPA main allies have not agreed with the move, the government may have to go for further consultations with their allies and MPs in the coming Parliament meets for the Budget session.
