TN: Sasikala's hubby in more trouble, remanded to custody

Chennai, Feb 19: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's former close aide Sasikala's husband Natarajan has been imprisoned till Mar 2. Currently he is lodged in Tiruchi central prison.

On Sunday, Feb 19, morning, he was brought to the Thanjavur, interrogated at the Tamil University police station from 3.30 am. Then he was taken to the Thanjavur Medical College Hospital for his medical check up. Later he was brought to the Magistrate at her residence.

Natarajan informed the Magistrate that he would like to have treatment in a private hospital due to his illness.

Natarajan said the reporters that the state government was harassing his family. "But we can bear the harassment as we are followers of Annadurai who has taught us to bear problems."

While, S Ramalingam of Vilar lodged a complaint with the district crime branch police against him, claiming that he and his associates forcibly have taken away over 15,000 sq.ft property to construct a memorial.

Under the Indian Penal Code, cases were filed against Natarajan, Chinnaiyah, Suresh, Ilanchezhiyan and Kubendran and his brother, M Swaminathan.
