Man trapped in snow-covered car for months without food

Stockholm, Feb 19: A Swedish man was trapped in his snow-covered car for at least two months without any food on a deserted forest road in northern Sweden.

According to media reports the 45-year-old man was found by snowmobilers who thought they had come across a car wreck until they dug their way to a window and saw movement inside.

Reports further claim that the man was laying in the back seat in a sleeping bag. Reportedly he was inside the car since last Dec 19 and survived by drinking melted snow.

Meanwhile, the man has been admitted Umea University Hospital by a rescue team. Sources said that the man is recovering.

Doctor's at the hospital said humans would normally be able to survive for about four weeks without food. Besides eating snow, the man probably survived by going into a dormant-like state.
