UP Poll: Priyanka Gandhi overshadowed Rahul, Cong, Mayawati?

Lucknow, Feb 17: It seems that no one can stop or overshadow the new Congress star - Priyanka Gandhi. She had showed her capabilities to impress all with her presence during election campaigns in Uttar Pradesh. Many people even started demanding to give power to Priyanka and not to her brother Rahul Gandhi.

While Mayawati, the BSP supremo and CM of the state, has been bruised with allegations over NRHM scam, hawala money, raids on her close-aide Ponty Chadha, Priyanka managed to steal the limelight.

Recently, Babulal Gaur, Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Minister had said that he was "impressed" with Priyanka. "It would have been better if the Congress had projected Priyanka in place of Rahul," he had said.

He further envisioned her as a reflection of Indira Gandhi.

Meanwhile, Priyanka, during her tour to Rae Bareli, attacked Mayawati government once again. "Money that is being sent to the UP state under health schemes is not reaching the people. The money is being kept by a few in the state," claimed Priyanka while hinting at Mayawati.

Priyanka continued her support for her brother and said, "Rahul feels that the situation in UP has become very bad in last 22 years. There should be development in the state. The biggest state is amongst the least-developed states, this is naturally making him angry."
