Bangalore, Feb 17: In a major decision in the sleazy movie row, Karnataka Assembly Speaker KG Bopaiah on Thursday announced that a seven-member house committee will be formed to investigate the issue after the tainted MLAs sent their explanations to the speaker.

Srishaila Bidrur, BJP MLA will head the committee and it is likely to submit the report by March 13, as reported by official sources. Apart from Bidrur, other committee members HC Mahadevappa and Amregowda Patil Bayyapur are from Congress party. Other members include BJP's Suresh Gowda, S R Vishwanath and Nehru Olekar, Amregowda Patil Bayyapur and Dinakar Shetty from JDS.

The Speaker said that he had sent the paper to the committee, but declined to reveal the content as it was a part and parcel of the assembly proceedings.

Now, the accused BJP ministers would tried to escape from the accusations as Savadi and Patil may have to face charges of watching porn, while Palemar has been accused of supplying the clip.

Meanwhile, the Opposition parties had earlier claimed that their ministers wouldn't be a part of the committee. The Speaker had lashed out at the opposition to move a resolution against him when he was acting against the MLAs who were involved in the shameful act.

Last week during assembly session, three ministers - CC Patil, Lakshmana Savadi and Krishna Palemar were caught on camera watching a sleazy video clip in mobile phone. They had resigned on Wednesday, Feb 8 following the row.
