BMC Election 2012 results: Shiv Sena, BJP lead, MNS follows

Poll counting has begun in all districts and according initial reports, Shiv Sena-BJP alliance struck to its early lead, though Raj Thackeray led MNS also showed impressive progress in the election.
Counting of votes for 27 Zilla Parishads, 309 Panchayat Samitis and 10 municipal corporations, including Mumbai was underway. The results would be out by Friday afternoon.
There are a total of 227 seats in BMC for which 2232 candidates are in the fray. Till 1:00 PM, the latest updates of all political parties are:
Shiv Sena + BJP: 69
Congress+NCP: 40
MNS: 22
Others: 12
