International level police training centre in TN: Jaya

She was addressing a passing out parade of 1,061 sub-inspector trainees, the largest ever batch to take oath in a ceremony and the first of its kind organised in Tamil Nadu.
Recalling her dream to set up a police training centre of international standards, Jayalalithaa said that she had already laid the foundation stone for the Academy in 2004 during her tenure as chief minister. She also expressed pride that lots of trainees were getting trained in the Academy.
Meanwhile, she stated that law and order were created to improve the quality of people. "At the same time, excessive sympathy towards the undeserving should be avoided," she said adding police should put down murderers and robbers with an iron hand.
