UP: Sonia, Rahul wanted to do a lot for you, says Priyanka

Rae Bareli, Feb 13: Congress' star campaigner Priyanka Gandhi on Monday accused the BSP government of creating hurdles in the development of Uttar Pradesh.

During an election meeting in Janai area of Bachrawan Vidhan Sabha seat, Priyanka said, "Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi wanted to do a lot for you but the state government had created hurdles...in other states central schemes like MNREGS are being run smoothly but in UP it was not implemented properly."

Priyanka expressed confidence that the state will develop swiftly if Congress holds the regime.

While campaigning for party candidate Raja Ram Tyagi, Priyanka said that corruption and crimes have increased in the state during the non-Congress government lagging Uttar Pradesh behind other states. She has come to alert them for making a wise decision so that they don't have to regret for the next five years, she added.
