J&K: Sonia to reject education min's resignation?

Jammu and Kashmir, Feb 11: After Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed sent his resignation to Congress President Sonia Gandhi over exam scandal, he claimed on Saturday, that Congress President Sonia Gandhi has not accepted his resignation.

He was indicted following the charges that his son was found having cheated during the class 10 examination in 2009.

While explaining to the media people, Sayeed had 'sent his resignation to Soniaji and has not been accepted by her.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has deprived him from the school education portfolio.

Earlier, GM Saroori, the Public Works Department Minister was accused of helping his daughter in arranging an impersonator during a medical entrance test, Omar had taken away his ministry.
