Ex-Maldives Prez says he was forced to quit at gunpoint

Mohamed Nasheed's supporters clashed with police and Maldivian Democratic Party activists hit the streets of Maldive.
Reports revealed that there was allegedly a coup-bid in Maldives and clash between the police and Army had took place over the state broadcaster.
The coup attempt was allegedly by the opposition demonstrators and the police.
However, official sources refuted reports that the President resigned.
Mohammad Nasheed came into power in 2008. Reports also reveal that the President remains in control of the army.
