2G scam: A Raja happy?meets his wellwishers in jail

New Delhi, Feb 8: After spending a long time in jail, A Raja, former Telecom minister on Tuesday met with his 60 supporters and DMK party colleagues in the premises of a Delhi district court complex.

They arrived in the early morning at the Patiala House court complex to meet Raja. They waited outside the court lock-up and greeted Raja when Raja moved towards the Central Bureau of Investigation special court for the 2G hearing.

Raja's close aide stated that the supporters came to brief him about the last year's local body elections in Tamil Nadu.

Despite being lodged in the jail for so long, Raja was concerned about the welfare of people of his constituency, claimed by Swami Nathan, a DMK member.

Over 19 individuals and six companies are accused in the 2G scam. All arrested have been released on bail except A Raja and one accused.
