TN: No relief for Sasikala's relative, bail plea dismissed
Chennai, Feb 7: The Tamil Nadu district court on Monday ordered Ravanan, a close relative of Sasikala, to be kept in police custody for two days. Ravanan has been accused of cheating a contractor.
Adinathan, the Principal District Judge dismissed the hearing for bail petition as they think that if released on bail, he would tamper with evidences.
RaviKumar, a contractor at Sirumugai had filed a complaint against him. According to the complaint, Ravanan had abducted him on Oct 9 and asked Rs 10 lakh ransom to release him. Ravanan was arrested on Jan 27 on charges of abduction for ransom, extortion and criminal conspiracy.
