Cong-star Priyanka Gandhi handles Rahul, Chidambaram,UP poll

Lucknow, Feb 6: Priyanka Gandhi, who has emerged as the new star for Congress, has been cited as tackling all crisis persistent in the party. When Priyanka on Sunday, Feb 5 reached Uttar Pradesh, she was bombarded with questions on Rahul Gandhi, P Chidambaram and 2G scam - the issues which have been haunting Congress since last few months.

During her election campaigning in the state, Priyanka clearly stated that her brother Rahul was not in politics to get the Prime Minister's job. Priyanka also defended the central government led by Congress.

Defending Union Home Minister P Chidambaram over the 2G scam, Priyanka said, "I feel sad the amount of time that is being wasted in all such things which Chidambaram could have devoted for the country. I feel the same for our government and the amount of time we waste over such things."

Priyanka's campaigning may leave positive impression on the people. Meanwhile, all political parties have been geared up as the campaigning for the first phase of elections will end on Monday, Feb 6.

BJP veteran leader, LK Advani also reached Lucknow for campaigning, BJP president will campaign in Gonda, Siddharth Nagar and Faizabad.
