Bhanwari Devi case: Ex-BJP leader under CBI scanner

Jaipur, Feb 6: After CBI cracked the mysterious death of Rajasthan nurse Bhanwari Devi, on Sunday, a notice has been issued to former BJP leader Shambhu Singh Khetasar by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for interrogation over the case.

The notice was issued when he failed to appear before the agency as he was summoned for thrice.

CBI team visited Khetsar's residence on Sunday, handed over the notice to his family and asked them to inform him about it.

On the other hand, Khetsar met with an accident near Phalodi on Friday night while visiting Jaisalmer from Jodhpur in a car with his supporters. He got minor injuries and now undergoing with treatment in Palanpur in Gujarat.

Meanwhile, the incident has put Khetasar under suspicion as it has raised doubts in the officials that he is trying to mislead the agency to avoid interrogations.
