Pakistan says it will back Afghan-led peace talks

Hina Rabbani Khar visited Kabul on Wednesday to mend relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan that broke down last year when a former Afghan president who was trying to broker peace was assassinated. Afghan officials blamed insurgents based in Pakistan for the killing.
Afghan Foreign Minister Zalmay Rasoul says President Hamid Karzai will travel to Islamabad soon to further strengthen ties. Khar's visit coincided with the leak of a classified NATO report, saying insurgents get support from Pakistan. She dismissed the report, calling it "old wine in an even older bottle."
