IT giant Infosys to invest Rs 600 crore in Indore

Bhopal, Feb 2: IT-major Infosys will invest Rs 600 crore in its proposed unit in Indore and has signed an MoU with the Madhya Pradesh government.

The venture by Infosys will generate at least 13,000 jobs.

The MoU was signed by Hari Ranjan Rao, Secretary IT, Government of Madhya Pradesh and Chandraketu Jha, Infosys Vice-President in the presence of Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister and Kailash Vijaywargiya, Industries Minister at the state mantralaya, said official sources.

According to Chouhan, the MoU with Infosys would promote more investment in the state.

The Madhya Pradesh government will provide 130 acres to Infosys on a 33-year lease. The project is expected to be completed in five years.

The company is setting up its unit in the Super Corridor, Indore.
