Vigilance officials raid residence of ex-DMK minister

Chennai, Feb 1: The officials of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption (DAVC) on Wednesday, Feb 1 raided the residence and business premises of ex-DMK minister N K K P Raja across Tamil Nadu in connection with a disproportionate assets case.

Sources said that raids were also conducted at the houses of Raja's close aides. Meanwhile, raids were still in progress in Chennai and Erode districts. Raja was the Handlooms Minister in the formerly DMK government.

Earlier, DAVC had raided the houses of former DMK Ministers Veerapandi S Arumugam, K Ponmudy, K N Nehru, M R K Panneerselvam, T M Anbarasan, K P P Samy, Durai Murugan, KKSSR Ramachandran, former MLA B Ranganathan and sitting MLA J Anbazhagan.
