TN: Kamal Hassan beats Rajinikanth, gives Rs 15 lc to Jaya

Chennai, Feb 1: It seems like Kollywood superstar Kamal Hassan has stolen the limelight from another legend of the same film industry - Rajinikanth. Kamala Hassan on Wednesday, Feb 1 met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and donated Rs 15 lakh for the victims of the Thane cyclone.

The actor met the AIADMK supremo and showed his concern for the Thane cyclone victims. The money have been handed over to the relief fund of state which will provide basic necessities to the victims.

The comparison between Kamala Hassan and Rajinikanth surfaced as Thalaivar (Rajinikanth) had recently met the CM and donated Rs 10 lakh to the victims of one of the dangerous natural calamities Tamil Nadu had seen.

Almost 48 people had died and the state faced tremendous loss following the Thane Cyclone which hit Tamil Nadu on Dec 30.
