Delhi Metro Station ransacked over eve-teasing, 2 arrested

The incident took place at Tilak Nagar Metro Station in West Delhi at around 10:30 pm on Tuesday. The fight began when a group of men allegedly teased a woman and her husband protested which was followed by a heated argument and fight.
According to eyewitnesses, situation became worst when both parties called their family members and friends and the two group were engaged in the devastating fighting. The two groups allegedly broke glasses and damaged many valuable properties of the Metro Station.
Police have already arrested two persons regarding the case and senior official has been quoted as saying, "It was basically an eve-teasing incident. But both the parties converted into a riot-like situation and damaged property."
Here it can be mentioned that the arrested duo allegedly teased the women and they have taken under custody on Wednesday, Feb 1. Police also informed that the duo also have been arrested over the charges of intent to create riot and other sections under the Delhi Metro Act.
