Bad news for bike riders; no fuel without helmet

The administration's decision came in the wake of several road accidents in the recent past. The current move is aimed at minimising the casualties in road accidents.
Deputy Commissioner of Ranchi, K.K. Soan also asked petrol pump owners to publish a notice at the stations showing 'No petrol without helmets'.
Moreover, pump owners were also directed to fix CCTV cameras to track those bike riders without helmets. They have also been directed to note down the number of a two-wheeler if its rider was without a helmet and tried to get petrol by force.
Meanwhile, the petrol pump owners have expressed doubts over the administration's move. Earlier, Ranchi cops had launched a special drive against those not wearing helmet.
