Emaar township case: Jagan Reddy's close aide sent to jail

Hyderabad, Jan 25: A special court on Wednesday, Jan 25 remanded Sunil Reddy, close aide of YSR Congress Party chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy in judicial custody till Feb 1 in connection with the Emmar Properties case.

Earlier, on Jan 24 night, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had arrested Sunil Reddy and presented before a special CBI court in Hyderabad on Jan 25.

Moreover, CBI also moved a petition seeking for his custody for 15 days but his lawyer sought time to file a counter. Meanwhile, the court adjourned the hearing to Jan 27.

The CBI has booked Sunil Reddy for criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, cheating and falsification of accounts.
