Raj Thackeray's ex-aide involved in electricity fraud

Mumbai, Jan 22: A complaint has been filed against former Shiv Sena MLA Yogesh Patil, his brother Ramesh and partners by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd for Rs 1.29 crore electricity theft. Mahavitaran Kalyan police station has lodged a complaint against them.

The ex-minister is looking after a stone crushing company with his partners at Wada.

"Following a tip-off, we conducted a raid at the company and found that the meter had been tampered with. A remote-controlled device was used to slow down the meter, thereby causing a loss of Rs 1.29 crore to MSEDCL," said Bharat Pawar, deputy chief public relation officer of MSEDCL.
