Man held as he tries to throw shoe at Team Anna

Dehra Dun, Jan 21: A man has been arrested when he tried to throw a shoe at Team Anna here today, police said.

The man has been identified as Kishan Lal [35] who hails from Prem Nagar locality of Dehra Dun city. The incident took place when Arvind Kejriwal, Manis Sisodia and Kiran Bedi were addressing a public meeting at Lord Venkatshwara Hall, SSP Dehra Dun G N Goswami told PTI.

However, Goswami denied media reports that the shoe was hurled at Team Anna. "We managed to catch hold of the man when he was about to throw a shoe", Goswami said.

A section of the audience, who were present at the meeting, however claimed the man managed to throw the shoe but it did not hit the intended target.
