NRHM scam: CBI raids over 40 sites across UP & Delhi in

Lucknow, Jan 19: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday, Jan 19 raided over 40 location across Uttar Pradesh and New Delhi. The raids were conducted after fresh cases were filed in the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scam by the investigation agency.

Meanwhile, CBI has raided the house and office of Uttar Pradesh former Principle Secretary of Family Welfare, Pradip Shukla. A number of Chief Medical Officers and bureaucrats' houses were also raided by the investigation agency.

The raids were conducted from early morning at 7am on Jan 19 across Kanpur, Lucknow and four other districts of UP and in Delhi. Sources said that, raids are on in the region to pick more clues in the case. It is also learnt that CBI may extend their probe to more cities for a conclusive breakthrough into the case.

Earlier, CBI had arrested six top officials including Ram Prasad Jaiswal in the NRHM scam. The CBI is expected to disclose more names involved in the scam.
