After Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt to join Congress?

Mumbai, Jan 19: Former Samajwadi Party member and Bollywood star, Sanjay Dutt on Thursday, Jan 19 hinted at his entry to the Congress.

He further said that he was ready to campaign for Congress, if the party demanded it in the upcoming UP Assembly Polls.

"It was a mistake on my part to join Samajwadi Party. Inside my heart I am a Congress man... always with the Congress," said Sanjay Dutt.

He further spoke about his close connection with the Congress since the time of Pandit Jawarharlal Nehru. Yesteryear actor, late Sunil Dutt, father of Sanjay Dutt had served as the sports minister in the UPA between 2004-2005.

After his father's death, Sanjay Dutt, who was then with the SP held the Congress guilty for the death.

He had joined SP in 2009, but quit a year after.

"It was a mistake, nobody forced me. I am out of it. But people of Uttar Pradesh gave me a lot of respect," said Sanjay Dutt.
