PMO in trouble; Manmohan Singh's media advisor resigns

Khare's resignation came as a sudden shock to all in the PMO. It is believed that The sudden resignation came on the heels of the appointment of former NDTV journalist Pankaj Pachouri to the Prime Minister's Office as communication advisor and reporting to Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Pulok Chatterjee.
65-year-old Khare, who served the PMO more than two years, thanked the PM while stating, "I want to rediscover the joys of being a reporter." Khare, before joining the PMO in 2009, had worked with The Hindu as Associate Editor and Chief of Bureau in New Delhi and as a Resident Editor of The Times of India in Ahmedabad.
