Jarawa men filmed by tourist now!

Port Blair, Jan 16: After the controversy over the Jarawa video, Police have now detained a tourist from West Bengal for video-graphing two Jawara tribal men.

On Friday, the tourist filmed two tribals on the Andaman Trunk Road, when he was travelling from Middle Strait to Port Blair.

While detaining the tourist at Jirkatang check post, police seized his camera and car. The footages filmed by him included that of a couple of Jarawa men walking on the Andaman Trunk Road.

Sources claimed that the Police has not taken any legal action against him, he was allowed to walk free after receiving a warning for not repeating such activities in the future. The footages were removed by the police.

A controversy had erupted in the island after a few tourists lured Jawara tribal women with food and made them dance semi-nakedly before them.
