Baba Ramdev heckled; black ink thrown at him
The incident happened when Ramdev called in a press conference to brief all about his plans during the upcoming Assembly election in the 5 poll-bound states. The function was held at the Constitution club at around 12pm. He also said that he plans to campaign to bring back the black money stashed abroad back to the country. A minor clash erupted between supporters in the melee.
No police personnel were present at the venue and there was only Baba Ramdev's personal security guards when the ruckus started.
It has been reported that attempts were made to throw black ink at Baba Ramdev. The protestor is reported to be Raj. He was handed over to the police.
Following the incident, Baba Ramdev said, "What did I say or do to deserve this? This will not stop me from campaigning strongly against the corrupt." He said that he was being targetted for his anti-graft activities. His supporters are alleging that the Congress was behind this act. The ANI has reported that the person who threw at Babab Ramdev is named Kamran Siddiqi, who runs an NGO called Real Cause.
