UP police seize cash worth crores, 3000 liquor bottles

Ghaziabad, Jan 13: Mayawati's Uttar Pradesh always grab headlines for various reasons. This time around when the state is approaching elections, the state police has seized 3000 bottles of liquor in shoe boxes.

Uttar police police is anticipating such kind of incidents in the near future and the team will increase patrols.

"You need to be on the alert for even things and places where we usually dont search, you have to be more vigilant," says Ajay Kumar Mishra, SP Rural, Ghaziabad, UP police. Mr Mishra has instructed his team not to overlook anything.

In the past few days, the Election Commission had seized illegal money of Rs 27 crore from Uttar Pradesh.
