Legendary Ghazal singer Mehdi Hassan critical, on ventilator

Karachi, Jan 13: Legendary Ghazal singer, Mehdi Hassan is currently undergoing treatment in Karachi, Pakistan and is on ventilator, said reports.

The 84-year-old singer was hospitalised after he was not keeping well for quite some time due to respiratory problems.

Meanwhile, contradictory reports also reveal that doctors claimed that the Ghazal singer was faring well and was no more on ventilator and "improving" and "responding" to treatment.

The singer, born in 1927 at Luna, Rajasthan belonged to a family of traditional musicians and migrated to Pakistan during partition.
