2G scam: Finance Ministry's note reaches PM's Office
The facts has been collected from various departments-including views and correspondence between department of economic affairs and the department of telecommunication and it was all compiled to present the note.
Referring to that note, Finance Secretary R Gopalan stated that the note was a compilation of facts collected from various departments-including views and correspondence between department of economic affairs and the department of telecommunication.
PC Chacko, JPC chairman on Thursday claimed that the committee members wanted to know what was there in the content. Referred the issue to the ministry of law, Chacko said that the minister has seen the facts and he is aware of the facts but didn't approve it.
The note was prepared at the instance of the cabinet secretariat, the official told the committee. PMO asserted to send the note as a Official Memorandum, not as an informal communication so that they can keep the note as a part of the record.
