Save Mullaperiyar: Kerala industrialist offers Rs 55 cr plan

Mr Chittilappilly, who earlier had donated one of his kidneys, claimed that his Rs 55 crore plan can solve Mullaperiyar controversy within 8-9 months and that also without heartening any environmental issue.
Here it can be mentioned that Mr Chittilappilly is willingly to give Rs 5.5 crore while he offered that the rest of the money can be collected from other Keralites.
Mr Chittilappilly has been quoted as saying,"My plan will take 8-9 months for completion. The money for it can be collected from the people of the state. I am handing over my contribution of Rs 5.5 crore for the purpose."
The managing director of V-Guard Industries also pointed out that his Rs 55 crore plan may solve Mullaperiyar dispute much faster than the government's proposed plan which would take minimum 2-3 years at the cost of almost Rs 800-1,000 crore.
