Atif Aslam's concert turns out deadly, leaves 3 dead

Students from the Punjab College of Commerce had come to see the concert
"When the concert ended, some girls rushed towards Mr Aslam to get his autograph. To save Mr Aslam from the crowd, the security guards resorted to a light baton charge which caused panic among the girls," said Deputy Inspector General of Police Ghulam Mahmood Doga quoting a witness as saying.
He further said that the stampede occurred after the students rushed to the exit adding that a large number of them fell unconscious and many others injured.
The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals where three business students were declared dead, while five others are severly critical.
"The media is down playing the incident because the college is owned by a major media group," said a senior police officer who did not want to be named.
"There was sheer mismanagement by the college administration. The administration has taken the life of my daughter," said the mother of one of the dead girls.
