Sun TV unveils 3 brand new pay channels

Chennai, Jan 9: Sun TV Network Limited on Monday, Jan 9 unveiled three brand new pay channels namely Sun Life and Sun TV RI (Rest of India) in Tamil and Gemini Life in Telugu.

Sources said that Chennai based broadcaster will focus on segments like lifestyle, religion, health and education through Sun Life and Gemini Life.

Meanwhile, Sun TV RI will transmit the same Sun TV content but the broadcast will be specialised for all states other than Tamil Nadu and appropriating advertisers to focus on specific geographical areas. With the launch of new channels, it has now eight genre--General Entertainment, Movies, Music, News, Kids, Comedy, Action and Life.

The Sun TV network has now 32 channels of which 12 are in Tamil, 9 in Telugu, 7 in Kannada and 4 in Malayalam language.

The broadcaster has also launched four advertisement free action movie channels in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, last week.

Moreover, last December it had launched four high definition TV channels, three in Tamil and one in Telugu.
