Fujifilm to double camera sales

"Marketing investment this year will be 100 per cent more than last year, roughly at Rs 120 crore," A Rajkumar, Fujifilm India, country general manager.
Fujifilm in 2011 had sold 1.6 lakh cameras and said that it planned to double its unit.
"This year, we are expecting a revenue of Rs 600-700 crore from India across all divisions," said Rajkumar.
The demands for cameras have been mainly coming from small towns.
"We are seeing a demand mostly from the non-metros, that too, mostly the first-time buyers, while the metros are mostly replacement markets," he said.
"It is feasible to have a manufacturing plant in China or Thailand and not here," he said that the company was not aiming to set up a manufacturing unit here.
