Achary spills the beans on A Raja-Kanimozhi secret meetings
Achary, who is the person in the know of what conspired between Raja and DMK MP Kanimozhi, stated that when Raja went to meet Kanimozhi at her residence, Achary was ordered that he (Raja) not be disturbed during the meeting with Kanimozhi.
Achary is the star prosecution witness who is most likely to spill the beans on the telecom scam that has Raja as the main accused and Kanimozhi as the co-accused. He said in court, "I have not seen A. Raja visit the house of Kanimozhi on South Avenue. Raja himself told me he was visiting her and need not be disturbed.”
Achary made the statement during cross examination by R.N. Mittal, counsel for DB Realty’s Shahid Balwa, who is one of the accused in the 2G spectrum scam.
Achary had earlier recorded his statement before the metropolitan magistrate where he said, "She [Kanimozhi] had frequent visits to the camp office of A. Raja and Raja also used to visit her residence on South Avenue frequently. She is also very close to A. Raja in regard to political work of DMK. They used to talk over phone frequently. I never visited the house of Kanimozhi personally. I gathered Kanimozhi was residing on South Avenue, New Delhi."
Mittal also questioned Achary regarding Raja's meetings with corporate lobbyist Niira Radia. Achary relied on this and said that he was not aware of Radia's visit to Raja's office. He added that he knew of Radia only when he was working under Raja at the Ministry of Environment and Forest during the time period 2004 to 2007.
