New Delhi, Jan 2: There are almost 12,000 prisoners lodged in Delhi's Tihar jail currently, but only two special people were bestowed with special treatment on the New Year eve of 2012. The two are none other than A Raja and Suresh Kalmadi.

According to sources from Tihar jail, Raja and Kalmadi were allowed to use telephone in jail to wish their family members a Happy New Year. Even the special prisoners were served delicious food on the day.

Parathas, pulao, vegetable curry with paneer, kheer, halwa, puri and special sweets from Tihar officials were served to the two VIP prisoners.

Officials said only "well-behaved" Tihar prisoners were allowed to greet their family members and friends on the New Year eve and it seems that the only "well behaved-prisoners" in Tihar jail were - Kalmadi and Raja. [Major events, top news of 2011]
