Bhanwari sex scandal: Cong MLA sent to judicial custody

Jaipur, Jan 2: Bhanwari Devi sex scandal is getting dirty day by day and it is increasing trouble for Congress and Rajasthan politics. Congress MLA, Malkhan Singh has been sent to judicial custody on Monday, Jan 2. He will remain there till Jan 16.

Malkhan Singh and the sacked Congress Minister Mahipal Maderna, who have been accused of using goons to kidnap and murder Bhanwari, were presented in a court on Monday by the investigative agency, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). [Read: Who rocked the world in 2011]

CBI will carry out searches for Bhanwari's body with the help of a special device, a high resolution photo imaging equipment, said sources. According to sources, the CBI are also looking out for places where they suspect the dead body of Bhanwari Devi could be buried.

Meanwhile, the CBI interrogated sacked Water Resources Minister Mahipal Maderna's wife Leela and Malkan Singh Bishnoi, Congress legislator's son on Sunday, Jan 1 in connection with the missing case of Bhanwari Devi.

While Maderna's wife was quizzed for about two hours, Malkan Singh's son was interrogated by the investigative agency till late evening.

Bishna Ram is suspected to have disposed the dead body of Bhanwari after obtaining it from Shahabuddin and Sohan Lal on Sept 1, 2011.
