Anna Hazare's health deteriorating, hospitalised in Pune

Anna Hazare hospitalised
Pune, Jan 1: 74-year-old Anna Hazare, who has been suffering from viral infection and fever since last few weeks, has been admitted in a private hospital in Pune on Sunday, Jan 1.

In the morning of the New Year 2012, Anna was rushed to the hospital as his doctor in Ralegan Siddhi advised him citing his deteriorating health condition. Anna's health condition worsened following his fast at MMRDA ground in Mumbai demanding the anti-corruption bill - Lokpal Bill. However, his close aides and crucial members of Team Anna later requested him to call off his hunger strike and the septuagenarian finally broke his fast on the second day and returned back to his home.

Doctors, attending Anna, said, "There is congestion in his (Hazare's) chest and he has strong cough. He can't remain in a single position for a minute. Therefore I've suggested to admit him in Pune."

Meanwhile, reports surfaced that Anna's supporters in Amritsar waved black flags to the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh showing protest over the failure of bringing Lokpal Bill in the winter session of the Parliament.
