Rajasthan doctors to resume work today

Jaipur, Dec 28: After the Rajasthan government sacked 10 doctors and two medical officers for taking part in the strike in support of in-service government doctors, resident doctors have decided to resume work from Wednesday (today) morning.

Around 3,400 resident doctors were on strike in support of government doctors, who were demanding pay hike and time-bound promotions. The strike had caused medical crisis in the state leaving dozens dead.

On Tuesday night, Resident Doctors' Association representatives met Rajasthan Health Minister Duru Miya and informed him that they will get back to work from Wednesday.

"The association has given a letter to the minister assuring to call off their strike unconditionally," said an official.
