Mullaperiyar: DMDK chief Vijayakant arrested

Chennai, Dec 26: DMDK Chief and Tamil Nadu Opposition leader Vijayakant has been arrested by police for attempting to carry out a black flag protest during the Prime Minister's visit to the state. He was arrested along with other DMDK party members for the Centre's attitude towards Tamil Nadu on the Mullaperiyar row.

Among those arrested also include MDMK cadres.
