Nigeria: Islamist militants kill dozens in X'mas day bombing

Nigeria
Nigeria, Dec 26: It was a bloody and violent Christmas day in Nigeria where at least 40 people died and dozens were injured at a Catholic church near Abuja, Nigeria in terror attacks.

According to media reports, militant Islamic group - Boko Haram whose name means "Western education is sinful," claimed the responsibility for the attack.

The Islamist militant group has demanded that it wants to establish an Islamic state in northern Nigeria and does not recognize the government or the country's constitution. This was the most deadly attack that took place at a church during Christmas Mass.

Media reports further claimed that the bombing took place near Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Madalla, Nigeria where worshipers celebrated a Christmas Day mass.

World leaders have condemned the attack. The White House said that it will help Nigeria bring those responsible for the attack to justice.
