'Indra Bishnoi was behind Bhanwari Devi's abduction'

Jodhpur, Dec 26: After 74 days of CBI investigation, Sahiram Bishnoi, the main accused in Bhanwari Devi's missing case has confessed to handing over the auxiliary nurse to his accomplice Bishnaram Bishnoi.

Sahiram has revealed the place where Bhanwari was reportedly killed after she was abducted. It is believed that a white scorpion was used for disposing her body.

He also accused Congress MLA Malkhan Singh's sister Indra Bishnoi and claimed that she was behind Bhanwari's kidnap. CBI on Sunday grilled Sahiram and Luni MLA Malkhan Singh at Jodhpur circuit house.

Sahiram said that the decision to hand over Bhanwari to Bishnaram was taken in Indra Bishnoi's residence. CBI badly needs Indra to crack the case as she has reportedly gone missing. CBI had interrogated her after recovering the tapes of the conservation between her and bhanwari.

"CBI has obtained an arrest warrant against her and a search for her is on," said Dharini Mishra, spokesperson of CBI.

"Though, she appeared before the CBI initially for interrogation but then she tried to mislead CBI including declaring herself lunatic through a hospital and feigning illness," a source said.

Mahipal Maderna, former Water Resources Minister was arrested on Dec 3. Even Amarchand, Bhanwari's husband also confessed to his alleged involvement in the crime.
