Anna suffering from viral fever but firm on his 3-day fast

Mumbai, Dec 26: Diagnosed with viral fever, anti-corruption crusader Anna is adamant over his three-day fast and 'jail-bharo' agitation. He will reach the MMRDA grounds in Mumbai on Monday afternoon.

While addressing the presspersons at his village, Anna said, "I will hold a dharna outside Congress president Sonia Gandhi and general secretary Rahul Gandhi’s house in New Delhi. I am ready to face lathis during this agitation. There are some people waiting to see that his agitation takes a violent turn and hence you should see to it that the agitation happens peacefully."

Anna's doctor, Dr Pote informed that “Anna has been running 101 degrees fever.”

“Anna has been diagnosed with viral fever and the doctors have said that by Monday evening he should be normal. He (Anna) kept his speech short and his voice was also faint,” said Sanjay Pathare, Anna's close aide.

Continuing with his attack on Anna Hazare over his alleged links to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh pointed out a report published on the front page of a Hindi daily, revealing that Anna had worked as a secretary with RSS leader Nanaji Deshmukh.

Meanwhile, Team Anna's 'jail bharo' campaign has registered nearly one lakh people in less than 48 hours of its launch.
