TN journalists try to infiltrate into Mullaperiyar dam site

As per reports by certain Malayalam media channels, the TN journalists were secretly being transported in the Tamil Nadu Public Works Department boat to the dam site. They were there camouflaged as part of the SC appointed committee. It was also reported that the arrangements for the journalists' safe passage was made by certain officials in the TN PWD department.
Meanwhile, there was drama during the committees survey when the Kerala representatives decided to boycott the survey citing that their views on the matter was not taken into account by the empowered committee.
The incident happened ahead of the SC committee's arrival at the scene. The Kerala Police failed to notice the journalists from the neighbourhood, but the issue was highlighted by Kerala journalists who were covering the matter.
